Event Overview

Ever find yourself, or someone on your team saying, how did they do that? Well, at Developer Day 2016 your team will learn how to master building content on the HubSpot COS. From HubL to database-driven pages, it's all here. 

Developer Day is aimed to help you, and your team level-up their skills and learn from others pushing the limits of web development. To make the most of this day, your team should know HTML, CSS, and some JS (or other object-oriented programming language).

Attend sessions throughout the day from HubSpotters, and other developers, and go through hands-on workshops to refine your skills or just get help on a complex code problem you've been facing.

Event Logistics:

  • It's recommended that you arrive in Boston on the evening of 8/29 so you'll be ready for the kickoff on Tuesday morning.
  • Breakfast and lunch will be provided by HubSpot. We'll also have a happy hour in the brand new HubSpot Beer Garden.

Learn what's possible and take your designs further with a custom module. You'll learn about the possibilities for custom work and how to create custom modules from start-to-finish.

Have you ever needed to create a listing page or manage multilingual websites? In this session, you'll learn how to work with post lops to accomplish both of these.

Session 4: Transitioning Development from WordPress to HubSpot

Have you been developing on WordPress longer than HubSpot? This session will draw parallels between the platforms to help you get up-to-speed and developing quickly in HubSpot.

Session 5: Design/Development Optimization and Automation

Get a detailed look at how one company sets up their design and development team for success. We'll see a customized software integration setup and hear how this company is able to streamline a number of processes. There might be some processes that also work for your team that you'll see in this session.

Session 6: UXD in HubSpot Template Design

A deep-dive into HubL tokens and modules and how to design templates focused solely around user experience. We will take a look at high-performing templates in the marketplace and how they use HubL to make customization and usability as easy as possible for the user.


Session 7: Sneak Peek and Introduction to a New Product

Join us at Developer Day 2016 for a sneak peak, and exclusive access to a brand new feature within the COS. If you build a lot of websites or content within HubSpot - you won't want to miss this one.

Who from my agency should attend?

  • To build a peak performing GDD agency, it’s important that the entire team understands both the sales and services sides parts of the process. The more team members that can come, the better.
  • At a minimum it is recommended to send your head of sales and head of services. If you able to only send one person, have the owner or head of the agency attend and plan on training the rest of the team when they return.

Will this workshop be recorded?

  • Nope, sorry. Recordings won’t have the same value as in-person. Plus we want to see you in-person :-)
