SMART, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-bound, is a methodology that helps you establish concrete and achievable goals.
This template is available in both Excel and Google Sheets. It will walk you through setting a SMART goal step by step, calculate achievable, numerical targets for you, and help you evaluate the roadblocks standing in the way of achieving your marketing goals.
SMART goals encompass all five attributes of the acronym: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-limited.
Instead of making a general goal like "I want to lose weight," a SMART goal would be "I want to lose 10 pounds over the next three months by exercising and reducing snacks so I will look good in my wedding dress this summer."
