Seven years ago I was working in a biscuit factory stacking and packing biscuits into boxes. After discovering the hilarity and humility of having a robotics degree and working as a pick and place humanoid I decided to reinvent myself by learning python and became an active member of the meetup technology scene. Since then, I have gained a range of diverse experience in a variety of industries in Europe from startups in a team of 2 all the way up to large scale enterprises and FTSE100 companies. I joined AWS in April 2020: right when the world turned into a live Black Mirror episode and I kept sane during lockdown by knitting cthulu masks.
Mike has been working with the AWS platform for over 11 years and has spent the past 7 years working primarily with SaaS start-ups at The Scale Factory. He is focused on helping start-ups scale up their technical solutions once they've found product market fit.
Cara has a demonstrated history of working in the SaaS space. As a Customer Success Manager for HubSpot, she supports UK/I SMB markets. She focuses on assisting her customers with their strategy, processes and usage across their Marketing, Sales, Services and Operations. Prior to joining HubSpot, Cara worked in Sales at Oracle for over 10 years.
Steven spent the first ten years of his career building a Social Enterprise working in the area of technology and education - ultimately becoming Ireland’s largest organisation in this space. He joined HubSpot in November 2019 and works with new and existing customers across Ireland and the UK.
Build features as per your MVP requirements. Eric Ries (author of The Lean Startup) tells startups to adopt a Build → Measure → Learn feedback loop. Ries says, “The fundamental activity of a startup is to turn ideas into products, measure how customers respond, and then learn whether to pivot or persevere.“ Startups that are able to execute the Build → Measure → Iterate cycle fast are the ones that succeed.
In order to execute fast, you need to be able to build tech that can evolve as your requirements evolve. Once you’ve built out all the remaining requirements it’s time to get user feedback. To ship our web app, we can use the Amplify Console. The AWS Amplify Console provides a Git-based workflow for hosting full-stack serverless web apps with continuous deployment.
